Top Fashion Brands Of This Week: Staša, Adanola, Cactus Plant Flea Market, JW Anderson, Roksanda And More
From up-and-coming labels to established brands, this week’s list comprises a good mix of names to know. First up on the jellindex: Staša, a Croatian contemporary womenswear brand founded in 2015 that enjoyed a whopping 88% increase in search activity. Championing minimalist and clean designs while placing a huge focus on quality and construction, Staša is truly equal parts style and function, and judging by its spot on our list, it’s apparent that shoppers are appreciative of that too.
Everyday activewear brand Adanola secured the third spot on the index with a 57% increase in search activity. Hailing from Manchester, the label is proof that athleisurewear is not going anywhere anytime soon. 18% of its top category goes to bottoms, so it’s no surprise that its gym leggings made waves recently for their figure-flattering yet comfortable design. Not convinced? Its celebrity following which includes Molly-Mae Hague, Rochelle Humes and Kourtney Kardashian speaks volumes.
Our list will not be complete without some streetwear in the mix, and this round, Cactus Plant Flea Market — whose founder Cynthia Lu is a protege of Pharrell Williams’ — gained 29% in search activity thanks to the announcement of its McDonald’s collaboration. Nearly 50% of its top category goes to shirts, but instead of fashion pieces, however, the team-up will focus on special packaging for the meals — specifically the Big Mac or 10-piece Chicken McNuggets set. Special collectables of Birdie the Early Bird, Hamburglar, Grimace and Cactus Buddy that have been updated with a doubled-up set of eyes are also part of the offerings.
JW Anderson has also launched its latest capsule with Uniqlo, which led to a 25% increase in search activity. Marking the brands’ fifth collaborative anniversary, the Autumn/Winter collection is filled with cosy knits and warm tones pulled together with laidback vibes that anyone can appreciate. If you’re all for dressing down, JW Anderson is the brand to opt for as nearly 30% of its top theme is casual wear.
Moving on, following the end of the big 4 Spring/Summer 2023 Fashion Week, Frieze Fashion Week took place back in London, and Serbian label Roksanda (up by 28%) was one of the biggest names in the line-up. Known for her multi-disciplinary designs, the designer played with her signature voluminous and dramatic aesthetic that is rendered in bright hues and bold prints. White (25%) and pink (22%) are some of the brand’s most well-loved colours.
