Top Fashion Brands This Week: Le 17 Septembre, Peter Do, Telfar, Laquan Smith And More

This week, a majority of trending brands on the jellibeans are those that made waves during New York Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2023. At the top of the list is South Korean label Le 17 Septembre, which had an 88% rise in search activity. Known for its chic and minimal designs, it’s one of the up and rising labels that has been on fashion enthusiasts’ radar. 25% of its top product category goes to bottoms, so if you’re looking for new trousers for the upcoming fall season, you need to check them out. In second place is Peter Do, whose label gained 76% in search activity. Aside from opening with NCT member Jeno, the brand can also credit its surge in popularity to its collaboration announcement with K-pop giant, SM Entertainment. 18% of its category is made up of shirts, from a layer-effect silk shirt to a wrap-detailed shirt. Telfar was also on everyone’s radar this week, as it enjoyed a 60% increase in search activity. Forgoing an NYFW show, the brand opted for a pop-up event at a Rainbow store in downtown Brooklyn instead, featuring its sought-after Shopping Bag in all colours and sizes. Which is why it’s to no surprise that bags and packs comprises roughly 92.3% of all its products. Held at the Empire State Building, Laquan Smith’s Spring 2023 show was definitely one to watch, as his head-turning and skin-baring collection takes inspiration from wind, air and movement. It-girls Winnie Harlow and Cindy Bruna were part of the model line-up. The brand saw a 26% increase in search activity. In this round, Altuzarra’s line which was up by 27% was also on everyone’s lips, as the designer brought desert-ready fashion to the runways, referencing Don Juan and Desert Solitaire in his designs. Mirror Palais (up by 28%) completes the New York Fashion Week list with its highly anticipated debut featuring its signature sultry and romantic designs. Moving on, celebrity power continues to shine through when it comes to an array of labels on the list. Just last week, Priyanka Chopra donned a black dress by Khaite during her date night with Nick Jonas, which catapulted the brand into the sixth spot with a 44% increase in search activity. While the brand has quite a diverse offerings, dresses (16%) remain its top category. Elsewhere, in her latest Instagram Story posts, Emily Ratajkowski was spotted in a cargo mini skirt by Adanola that went on to increase the brand’s search activity by 33%. Rounding up the list is Paco Rabanne (up by 23%) which enjoyed a boost after it announced the celebrity ambassador for its latest fragrance, American actress Elle Fanning.

Top Fashion Brands This Week: Harmur, Pucci, Alberta Ferretti And More
Top Fashion Brands This Week: Harmur, Pucci, Alberta Ferretti And More

This week, the top of the list goes to London-based label Harmur which gained 52% in search activity, after Carrie Johnson — ex-British prime minister Boris Johnson’s wife — was spotted donning a hot-pink maxi dress by the brand on her husband’s last day in office. Established in 2017, Harmur has quickly attracted a cult following, with fans including Amelia Liana, Poppy Delevingne, Jessie Ware and Lady Violet Manners. Next up, Italian brand Pucci also gained 51% in search activity after the release of its Fall/Winter 2022 collection titled “La Piazzetta”. Championing bright and bold psychedelic patterns and colours without straying too far from its aesthetic, the line-up is definitely made to make a statement, and you can count on it to brighten up the colder seasons. The recent Venice Film Festival has also catapulted a number of brands on the list, namely Alberta Ferretti (up by 48%) and Haider Ackermann (up by 32%). Supermodel Alessandro Ambrosio donned an embellished blue strapless gown by the former at the premiere of Mexican comedy ‘Bardo’; while Timothée Chalamet made waves in a backless design by the latter at the premiere of his latest film ‘Bones & All’. The supermodel treatment can also be seen via Claudia Schiffer, who posted her ‘Barbiecore’ look during her trip to Greece. The midi dress with adjustable straps, smocked bodice and flared skirt is the “Lorraine” dress from boho-chic label Xirena, which had a 19% increase in search activity this round. Elsewhere, Kim Kardashian’s Interview Magazine cover — which broke the internet — led to a 31% increase in search activity for the publication. Popular streetwear brand Kith is also one of the brands that enjoyed a significant increase in search activity (31%) for an apparent season: its decision to cast Jerry Seinfeld as the star of its upcoming Fall 2022 collection. In the first campaign images, the comedian can be seen donning a baseball cap, a branded varsity jacket and jeans from the brand, and we must say — he looks good.
