The Latest Buzzword In Fashion - "Athleisure"
Our list this week proved that athleisure is still very much a buzzword in fashion, as Manchester-based label Adanola cinches the top spot with a whopping 70% increase in search activity as well as gaining over 5,000 new followers on Instagram. Known for its comfortable-casual designs, the brand’s latest collection is made up of an array of fan-favourite designs, from sweatpants and T-shirts to trendy cargo pants and new nylon sets.

The power of K-pop group BTS needs no explanation, and after its youngest member Jungkook donned MISBHV’s nylon jacket at the band’s concert in Busan, the street-cool brand’s search activity shot up by 43%. Want to score a piece of MISBHV? Shop it on Farfetch and SSENSE, as almost 80% of its products are housed under these two e-retailers. The label was also recently spotted on Kylie Jenner while filming The Kardashians on Hulu.

Fellow streetwear label Aimé Leon Dore also ranked high this round (+33%), as its collaboration with New Balance saw the drop of the new 550s. Minimal yet eye-catching, the design was undoubtedly a hit.

LA-based yoga brand Alo Yoga has also gained 25% in search activity. Its top category goes to bottoms with 37.8%. Counting the likes of Addison Rae, Candice Swanepoel, Alessandra Ambrosio and Hailey Bieber as its celebrity fans, the label’s gym-to-streets pieces strike the right balance between style and functionality.

As we’re settling into autumn, outerwear brands are slowly gaining more traction, and luxury Italian label Herno is one of them (up by 23%). A label that champions sustainable and ethical production since the start, it’s taking its designs to the next level this fall/winter. Unsurprisingly, coat jackets are its top category with 91%.

Last but not least, the recent CFDA Fashion Awards was one of the most talked-about events this week, and Khaite (+19%) and Skims (+18%) were two of the brands that enjoyed an increase in search activity after being worn to the red carpet by Kendall Jenner and Kim Kardashian respectively. The It model sported a chic spaghetti strap gown with a deep V-neck, while the latter wore her own shapewear label under her Dolce & Gabbana dress.
